What is the difference between a compatible ink/toner cartridge and remanufactured?
Compatible cartridges are clones made typically in China with inferior parts and general ink/toner not specifically designed for the device being used. Although cheaper to purchase, these cartridges rarely make the rated yield actually costing you more in the long run. These cartridges have also been noted to damage devices when pieces break off within the device or the ink/toner in cartridge is not the specific type required by the device. Remanufactured cartridges are OEM cartridges that are inspected with wear items replaced and refilled with the correct ink/toner. Remanufactured cartridges do cost more than compatible cartridges, but will meet or exceed OEM yields. Can Scott’s Computer Services recycle my old, used up cartridges?
Scott’s Computer Services is happy to recycle your spent OEM or remanufactured print cartridges. We do not recycle clones. Contact us today if you would like us to recycle your cartridges for you.
